Opportunity

You will play a key role in deploying the new service operating model while interacting daily with our customers, external partners, and national field service technician team.

Position Overview

The Service Coordinator supports the execution of start-up, commissioning, rework, and service activities for assigned mission-critical data center customer accounts. Reporting directly to the Project Manager or Team Lead, this person manages the service request intake process, coordinates interfunctional interventions, prepares commissioning documentation, and supports the deployment of technicians in collaboration with the workforce management team. Success in this role relies on excellent organizational skills, effective priority management, and strong communication to ensure alignment with commissioning schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Service Request Intake and Prioritization

  • Manage the intake of service requests; classify and track customer requests (technical support, warranty, parts, and documentation).
  • Establish priorities with the Project Manager or Team Lead based on commissioning schedules and customer impact.
  • Maintain an accurate log with clear statuses and schedules; escalate risks as required.

Support for Start-up and Commissioning

  • Coordinate responses with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) teams.
  • Prepare commissioning packages (document sets, checklists, and technical files).
  • Support the Project Manager or Team Lead in tracking schedules, validating readiness status, and escalating issues.

Coordination of Rework and Incomplete Units

  • Track work to be completed, expected part receipt dates, rework instructions, and their closure.
  • Perform interfunctional follow-ups to reduce processing delays and backlog accumulation.
  • Workforce Coordination (in collaboration with Workforce Management)
  • Submit personnel requests with detailed scope of work, schedules, and site requirements.
  • Provide travel and logistics information to the workforce management team for technician deployment.
  • Confirm preparation requirements: documentation, site access, safety requirements, tools, and parts.
  • Contribute to the visibility of needs without being responsible for resource allocation.

Communication and Reporting

  • Prepare structured updates for the Project Manager, Team Lead, and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings, document actions to be taken, and ensure follow-ups.
  • Maintain dashboards for commissioning preparation, service request performance, and rework progress.

12-Month Goals

  • Integrate the service request intake process into commissioning preparation workflows.
  • Improve schedule adherence through better coordination of documentation, parts, and field preparation.
  • Reduce rework delays and backlog accumulation.
  • Stabilize reporting tools and visibility of key indicators.
  • Support the rapid growth of service operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Start-up and commissioning schedule adherence.
  • Service request processing time and response speed.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in service or project coordination within a manufacturing, HVAC, or complex industrial environment.
  • Strong experience with ERP, CRM, and service management platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities between engineering, operations, and field teams.
  • Availability to travel to job sites as required.
  • Knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.
