The IT Architecture Consultant ensures the coherent integration of technological solutions into the organization's and its clients' environments. They collaborate on the development of evolution plans, conduct feasibility analyses, and advise the organization on its solutions. They participate in process management and service quality optimization.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate on the development of the technological evolution plan, the technological replacement plan, and the infrastructure operations plan
- Collaborate on the design of architectures and technological solutions
- Participate in the implementation of technological solutions
- Conduct proof of concepts
- Advise the organization on the solutions defined or to be defined for its clients
- Conduct feasibility, technical, economic, design, operations, security, and performance analyses
- Participate in impact and risk analyses
- Contribute to planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all activities inherent to the operations of the requested processes
- Provide technical and functional support related to the processes and tracking tools implemented
- Collaborate on the management, optimization, and monitoring of service quality (e.g., incident and problem resolution times)
- Participate in service management by offering advice, expertise, and support to service and process owners
- Write documentation to support operations and technological architecture

- MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (NO COMPENSATION POSSIBLE)
Academic Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, pure or applied sciences, or engineering
Certifications
- Specialized certification in one of the following domains: operating system, networking, data transport/core network, storage, IP telephony, or cloud computing
Professional Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the IT field
- Minimum 5 years as a technological architecture advisor (acquired within the last 10 years)
- Participation in 2 projects of 2,000 person-days or more (Quebec or Canada) as a technological architecture advisor, with a minimum participation of 220 person-days per project, in a comparable organization, over the last 7 years
- Participation of 220 person-days or more in 1 project (Quebec or Canada) of multiplatform technological solution integration (systems, technologies, processes)
- TECHNOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Multiplatform environments (systems, technologies, and work processes)
- Process and service tracking tools
- Technological infrastructures (networks, telecommunications, systems)
