Have you ever wondered how treatments like blue light filters, anti-reflective coatings, and anti-scratch treatments are applied? Not only will you learn that these are layers applied to the surface of lenses, but you will also know how to superpose them, as a leader in the eyewear industry!
Who Are You?
You are a detail-oriented person. You notice small flaws where others do not. You are organized, follow protocols. In short, there is a picture of you in the dictionary next to the words "thorough work".
Responsibilities
- Sort and properly classify the cabinets.
- Perform the lens pinning process while respecting standards and ensuring quality.
- Separate the stems with the appropriate anti-reflective treatment.
- Scan the jobs at each step of the process.
- Maintain the power supply of the machines and report any anomalies to the supervisor.
- Perform the stripping of lenses, pins, and rings according to the standards.
- Take the parameters of the machines with rigor and inform the supervisor of any non-compliance.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the CDS, DOME, and Sandblast machines and manage the alarms.
- Perform the sandblast operation correctly and follow the cleaning plan.
- Follow the cleaning plan of the DOME machines and the changes of soaps.
- Use the appropriate recipe before launching production on the machines.
- Perform the disassembly of lenses while respecting the established standards.
- Strictly follow the policies, procedures, and safety norms.
- Perform any other tasks requested by the supervisor.
- Participate in inter-departmental transfers if necessary.
- Always respect the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Respect the health and safety measures in place.
- Perform the necessary activities while respecting the policies, work procedures, training, norms, and standards.
- Assist your supervisor and colleagues in the realization of their activities when required.
- Perform any other tasks and in other departments as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical skills (machines and production processes)
- Good manual dexterity
- Speed of execution
- Attention to detail and meticulousness
- Good sense of observation
- Sense of organization and cleanliness
- Resourcefulness and professionalism
- Concern for the respect of quality standards
- Good knowledge of French
- Experience in an industrial or production environment
- Knowledge of production machines (CDS, DOME, Sandblast)
- Knowledge of safety norms and work procedures
- Basic machine maintenance skills
- Proficiency in French (oral and written)
- Specific training in lens treatment or related field (an asset)
