Responsibilities

  • Manage a team consisting of engineers and electrical and mechanical maintenance coordinators to ensure the completion of all maintenance work in the plant.
  • Daily analysis of work deadlines and priorities, coordinate the planning and scheduling of plant maintenance work, and improve processes.
  • Suggest improvements to equipment, work methods, and work organization.
  • Support maintenance coordinators in finding the best work methods, diagnostics, and execution of tasks, review with them various aspects related to health and safety and deviations in work scheduling.
  • Implement action plans to eliminate performance gaps in plant maintenance and minimize maintenance downtime (Scheduled downtime + mechanical downtime + electrical downtime).
  • Enforce health and safety rules within the maintenance group.
  • Contribute directly to the development and tracking of budgets. Achieve cost reduction targets.
  • Participate in annual shutdown planning.
  • Be accountable for the annual budget and expenses.
  • Enforce environmental rules within the maintenance group.
  • Enforce collective agreement rules within the maintenance group.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in the manufacturing domain, ideally in a technical or industrial environment.
  • Diploma in college studies in electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or any other relevant field (asset).
  • Mastery of production equipment technologies and their specifications.
  • Knowledge of management, planning, and control methods, as well as raw material management.
  • Effective time and priority management in a dynamic environment.
  • Planning, analyzing, and organizing processes to optimize them.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, natural leadership, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, including SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prioritize health and safety by promoting good practices and integrating ArcelorMittal's 10 Golden Rules into daily work.
