The Saint-Prime plant, located in Lac-Saint-Jean, has specialized in the production of I-beams for nearly 20 years, primarily used in the framing of residential and commercial wood-frame constructions. Over time, we have adapted our product to the market by offering it in a variety of lengths, widths, and materials to differentiate ourselves from the competition. We employ approximately 80 experienced professionals. We encourage both individual effort and teamwork, mutual aid, as well as workplace health and safety.

Our facility is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Quality Supervisor and Optimization position. This is a permanent full-time position.

Under the direction of the division manager, your main responsibilities include:

• Ensure the succession and transfer of knowledge to solidify our position in a competitive market.
• Implement and maintain all product quality requirements at the two operating sites (Saint-Prime and Larouche plants).
• Maintain the uniformity of quality practices across the teams of the different plants.
• Analyze laboratory test results in collaboration with the supervisors of the various departments to continuously improve the quality of operations and products and detect deviations from standards.
• Communicate relevant quality directives, instructions, and information to the responsible teams.
• Resolve complex issues related to supplier-customer relationships and assist the quality teams in responding to inquiries.
• Formulate recommendations to the supervisor and, as circumstances dictate, to the various supervisors to maintain a high level of quality, particularly when a deviation from objectives is observed.
• Ensure communication between our company and the sales, distribution, and marketing company.
• Ensure compliance with the employer's policies and procedures.

Desired profile

• Hold (or be in the process of obtaining) a university degree in wood engineering or industrial engineering or a technical degree in wood transformation.
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written, will be strongly considered.
• Master the "Office" suite.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control with rigor, continuity, and cohesion.
• Possess a car. The workplace is shared between the two operating sites: Saint-Prime Plant (101 Industrial Park Road) and Larouche Plant (900 Lake Hippolyte Road).
