You will work with a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative team to transform identified opportunities into validated savings and contribute to the design of sustainable and competitive mobility solutions.

On a daily basis, you will be in close interaction with the company's multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, production, project management, etc.), while coordinating studies and activities related to Design to Cost. You will play a key role in defining strategic priorities and achieving set financial objectives.

You will be primarily responsible for defining, calculating, and tracking unit costs in the development of trains and subsystems, as well as leading collaborative workshops to identify and implement optimization opportunities.

  • We will expect you to:
  • Coordinate all studies and disciplines related to Design to Cost to achieve set objectives.
  • Ensure the transformation of identified opportunities into validated savings compared to the baseline.
  • Be the voice of Design to Cost within tender and project teams.
  • Organize and lead steering committees to track progress and make strategic decisions.
  • Establish a robust governance framework for Design to Cost, with appropriate KPIs and tracking tools.
  • Develop summary reports and dashboards to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with teams to transform identified potentials into validated savings.
  • Maintain fluid and transparent communication between different stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and results.
  • Your profile

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the transportation industry (rail, automotive, heavy equipment, etc.).
  • Knowledge of procurement and/or supply chain processes, an asset.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and team animation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and propose pragmatic and innovative solutions.
  • Proven autonomy, proactivity, and technical leadership.

Proficiency in both French and English is required.
