Automotive Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION: AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

• Location: Sainte-Julie, QC
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Work Schedule: Day shift (Monday to Friday)
• Offered Salary: $35.00/hour (based on experience)

Under the supervision of the workshop supervisor or garage manager, the automotive mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing mechanical and electronic repairs on various types of light vehicles. They ensure a high standard of quality and safety to ensure customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and Inspection: Use computer diagnostic equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions or wear.
• Repair and General Maintenance: Replace or repair defective parts (brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, exhaust systems, engines, etc.).
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform periodic maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, permutations, tuning).
• Road Tests: Drive vehicles on the road before and after interventions to validate the proper functioning of the repaired systems.
• Documentation and Communication: Write required work reports and clearly explain the interventions to technical advisors or customers.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workspace while respecting health and safety standards.
• Desired Profile
• Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as an automotive mechanic.
• Education: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in automotive mechanics (or any other relevant combination of experience).
• Technical Skills: Excellent mastery of electronic diagnostics and modern automotive technologies.
• Personal Qualities:

• Resourcefulness and attention to detail.
• License: Valid driver's license (Class 5).
