Job Title: Property Accountant

As we experience rapid growth, we are seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to manage full-cycle real estate accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in QuickBooks and/or Sage, have a minimum of 1-yr experience in real estate accounting and administration, be able to work autonomously, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of real estate accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Proactively prepare cashflow statements and submit reports on daily, weekly and monthly cashflow needs.
- Manage property-related financial activities, including rent collections, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Coordinate with property managers and other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to senior management.
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks and/or Sage.
- Administrate construction contracts, assume responsibility for contractor and sub-contractor compliance matters and notify owner as to project progress.
- Participate in the underwriting of new properties and the refinance of existing mortgages.
- Preparing financial models as requested by the Managing partner
- Control all incoming and out going wires with approval of the Managing partner
- Report to the managing partner
Qualifications
- Proven experience in full-cycle real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Sage.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Bilingual
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
Skills
- Solid understanding of real estate accounting principles and practices.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.).
- Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
