What are your contributions to the team?
- In your role, you will be called upon to:
- Supervise and support mass properties activities as part of new aircraft development
- Participate in mass properties activities, such as:
- + Weight and center of gravity predictions at various levels of precision to support:
- Aircraft configuration development
- Trade-off studies
- Uncertainty analyses
- Cost estimates
- Discussions and negotiations with suppliers
- Etc.
- + Detailed analyses
- Mass and inertia distribution estimates
- Fuel migration analysis
- Floatability evaluation
- + Define weight targets
+ Etc.
- Review and approve mass properties deliverables
- Participate in the planning and tracking of mass properties activities
- Participate in discussions with internal and external contributors/partners as a mass properties representative
- Take an active role in integration activities as a senior mass properties representative
- Contribute to the development plan for mass properties processes and tools, particularly in the context of continuous improvements
- Supervise and guide junior team members in mass properties
- Supervise engineering interns.
How will you thrive in this role?
- As an ideal candidate,
- You have more than 15 years of experience in aeronautical engineering.
- You have more than 10 years of experience in mass properties.
- You have participated in aircraft development programs as a mass properties expert.
- You have good knowledge of aircraft systems and structures.
- You have a good understanding of the aircraft development process and the certification process.
- You are open-minded, curious, rigorous, and methodical.
- You seek a harmonious and unified team work environment.
- You value knowledge sharing among team members.
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem-solving with a holistic vision.
- You have strong communication skills and can easily adapt your communication to your audience.
- You have a great knowledge of CAD software (Siemens NX is an asset).
- You hold a university degree in engineering.
