The Environment and Emergency Measures team is looking for an: Environmental Management Intern
Work Location: 9001, Boulevard de l'Acadie, Montreal
Status: Internship
Duration: 4 months
Enrich our field of cooperation. The parent company of Sollio Cooperative Group offers an exciting, supervised, and training internship within a multidisciplinary team composed of professionals in the environment and emergency measures. You will contribute to a variety of mandates related to corporate environmental management, including the environmental management system (EMS) and environmental performance. You will participate in concrete projects involving the analysis of environmental data, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the development of tools and awareness content, and the continuous improvement of the organization's environmental practices. Your contribution to collective success
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the environmental management system (EMS), including updating tools, procedures, reference documents, and environmental databases;
- Participate in projects aimed at improving the organization's environmental performance, including environmental risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement;
- Contribute to the collection, analysis, and processing of environmental data, including updating emission factors, calculating certain GHG emissions, and maintaining corporate inventories;
- Participate in the evaluation and validation of new environmental data management tools and approaches, including tracking energy consumption and GHG emissions;
- Support the identification and evaluation of GHG emission reduction opportunities and the search for relevant technical, regulatory, or financial information;
- Participate in the development of guides, training capsules, outreach tools, and awareness materials for the organization's various divisions;
- Support the team in the implementation of various environmental mandates and contribute to the implementation of initiatives promoting environmental performance and sustainable development of the organization.
Your strength in service of a common goal
- Currently pursuing or hold a bachelor's and/or master's degree (an asset) in a discipline related to the environment;
- Internship is mandatory or optional (credited);
- Interest in the agricultural and food, retail, and/or cooperative sectors;
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills;
- Interest in applying environmental regulations;
- Strong analytical, writing, communication, and data interpretation skills;
- Recognized for your diligence, resourcefulness, and initiative;
- Self-motivated and able to work well in a team.
