Reporting to the Director, Business Perspectives and Analytics, the Senior Analyst, Business Perspectives and Analytics, transforms data into decision-making perspectives to guide strategy and support decision-making across all business lines under the Chief Operating Officer (Financing, Growth Capital and Business Transfer, Advisory Services, Securitization).

The role involves simplifying complex questions into structured analyses and concrete recommendations that answer: *"What does this mean and what do we need to do?"*. It combines advanced analytical skills with the ability to influence decisions and support execution through clear recommendations and measurable results.

THE CHALLENGES YOU WILL FACE

1) Business Perspectives & Problem Structuring

  • Translate business questions into structured problems and analysis plans (a clear plan indicating what to analyze and how), with precise decision criteria.
  • Develop numbered options and scenarios; recommend the best path, specifying risks, dependencies and success measures.
  • Establish a perspective execution cadence (regular rhythm for sharing analyses, e.g. QBR/MBR, dashboards, executive summaries) linking perspectives, decisions and execution.
  • Develop strong knowledge of activities and build strong relationships with internal partners to ensure alignment and value creation.

2) Executive Communication & Influence

  • Verify the quality of reports and updates for the executive team, ensuring data accuracy and visual clarity.
  • Present complex analyses in clear and actionable recommendations, using advanced data storytelling techniques.
  • Create compelling summaries and visuals (one page, presentations) that link perspectives to decisions; brief the executive team and facilitate alignment.
  • Cultivate strong advisory relationships with the Chief Operating Officer's leadership and strategic partners to ensure operational consistency.
  • Mentor analysts and promote best practices in problem-solving and visual communication.

3) Transition from Perspective to Action & Change Management

  • Transform perspectives into concrete recommendations to help leaders stay competitive.
  • Define responsibilities, timelines and success measures (OKR/KPI); support adoption and change management in partnership with leaders.
  • Work transversally to quickly move from analysis to decision and execution.
  • Link operational performance to the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring a direct link between execution and strategy.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, analytics, finance, economics, statistics, MBA or related field.

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in analytics with business perspective or strategy with demonstrated ability to convert analysis into decisions and measurable results in complex environments (financial sector experience is an asset).
  • Advisory experience in an analytics-driven environment (asset).
  • Proven experience in projects to transform perspectives into actions and influencing executive leadership.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced and evolving environments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations and executive visuals.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and analytical tools to extract perspectives and support strategic decision-making.
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python and Azure (asset).

Communication & Languages

  • Excellent written and oral communication; ability to create clear and visual narratives.
  • Bilingual (French/English) strongly desired for a role based in Montreal.
