Description

*Product support, validation, and technical requirements* A hands-on, field, and technical electrical engineering role at the heart of product support, validation, and continuous improvement.

At Merkur, we are looking for an electrical engineer who wants to be close to the product, testing, production, and technical decisions. This position is for someone who enjoys understanding systems in depth, solving concrete problems, and seeing the real impact of their work on product quality and robustness.

The position is on-site in the Sherbrooke area, as the role requires proximity to test benches, prototypes, manufacturing teams, and field issues. This presence allows for direct exchanges, a better understanding of problems, and solutions that can be quickly deployed.

Your daily role

Concretely, you will be tasked with:

  • Supporting production teams in analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving electrical issues;
  • Analyzing performance, reliability, or quality issues, then coordinating fixes with the relevant teams;
  • Defining and maintaining validation plans, test matrices, success criteria, and associated documentation;
  • Structuring project technical requirements and ensuring their traceability to testing and validation results;
  • Participating in testing on benches, prototypes, or in-use conditions to validate hypotheses and proposed solutions;
  • Collaborating with engineering, quality, industrialization, production, and supplier teams to improve product robustness.
  • Desired profile
  • Degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with OIQ membership status;
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical systems, validation, product support, or manufacturing environment;
  • Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems integrated into a manufactured product;
  • Proficiency with diagnostic, calibration, validation, or requirement management tools, such as INCA, Polarion, or equivalents;
  • Experience or interest in ALM tools, requirement management, technical traceability, and the product development cycle;
  • Rigor, analytical mindset, autonomy, and ease of collaborating with technical, operational, and supplier stakeholders.
  • Job conditions
  • Full-time on-site presence required at the client's site in the Sherbrooke area;
  • Position directly linked to products, testing, prototypes, production, and field teams;
  • Structured manufacturing context focused on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

What we offer

  • A concrete technical role with a visible impact on products and operations;
  • A work environment connected to testing, prototypes, and engineering decisions;
  • An agile structure, autonomy, and proximity to Merkur's management team;
  • Group insurance, REER with employer contribution, and wellness program;
  • Holidays, paid time off, and 4 personal days off.
