The Financial Centre Resources Team Lead ensures leadership and management of a team of high-calibre Financial Centre Managers and ensures their development. The objective is to enable advisors, advisor staff, and directors to obtain the training they need. The Team Lead must determine the needs and provide the required training on the requirements, tools, technology, and administrative processes of Sun Life. The Team Lead works in collaboration with District Directors to ensure they adopt the required technologies, working with the Digital Projects Office, Distribution. The Team Lead must ensure the operational efficiency of district financial centre locations, including the efficiency of processes related to facilities, technology, financial centre administration, advisor offices, and client management, in accordance with national policies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations of financial centres
  • Lead the Financial Centre Resources Management team
  • Regularly meet with each administrative staff member to ensure their goals align with the Company's and financial centre's needs, as well as their job requirements
  • Assess the learning needs of advisors and recommend training that meets those needs
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to advisors, establish training schedules, and plan for the presence of trainers
  • Ensure the adoption of technologies, working with the Digital Projects Office, Distribution, and the leadership team
  • Provide group or individual training related to various sales support systems, including technology, products, and procedures
  • Provide immediate troubleshooting services to resolve computer-related issues
  • Provide timely information on products and procedures related to insurance
  • Provide training on topics related to compliance and professional conduct as needed
  • Propose ideas for continuous improvement and support financial centre activities
  • Manage facilities (premises and equipment)
  • Supervise administrative processes and ensure they comply with national policies and enhance efficiency across various financial centre locations

  • Excellent computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Salesforce)
  • Ability to work autonomously and with all members of the financial centre team
  • High school diploma and 3 to 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience – University or college diploma preferred
  • Experience in coaching, leadership, financial services, and relationship management, and ability to influence team members
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) required due to frequent interactions with internal colleagues or partners who are bilingual or multilingual at the Canadian or global level
  • Specific Requirement:

The Financial Centre Resources Team Lead's travel is dependent on the distance from other financial centres. It is expected that he/she will need to travel to other Sun Life offices for training sessions or regional or national meetings.

The base salary range applies to the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the candidate's workplace location or other factors. In addition to the base salary, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive programs whose payment is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Some sales-focused roles include sales incentive programs based on individual or group sales results.
