HR Partner – Employee Talent and Experience
AdministrationDescription
Are you a generalist in human resources who enjoys recruiting, advising, influencing, and staying close to the reality of teams? At Merkur, we are looking for a profile capable of doing more than managing files: someone who understands the challenges of managers, builds trust relationships, and contributes concretely to evolving the employee and candidate experience. The position is based at our Sherbrooke office.
In this role, your impact will be seen both in the quality of hires and in the trust of managers and the consistency of our HR practices.
Do you have approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in human resources, with solid experience in recruitment? Do you want to have a real impact, without being limited to an administrative role only? This position could be for you.
What Merkur can offer you
- A human, professional, and collaborative environment where you can build genuine relationships with managers and teams;
- A culture based on rigor, trust, autonomy, and responsibility;
- A role where you can have a concrete impact on recruitment, employee experience, and manager support;
- An HR team that values mutual aid, professional judgment, and continuous improvement;
- Challenging opportunities in an organization where ideas and initiative are encouraged;
- A hybrid and flexible work mode, promoting the balance between performance, collaboration, and personal life;
- Resources to support well-being, including telemedicine and mental health tools;
- Additional paid leave in addition to legal holidays and annual vacation;
- An active team life, with social activities that strengthen bonds and a sense of belonging.
The role
- You will play a key role with managers and teams, with a mandate centered on recruitment, HR support, and improving internal practices;
- You will take charge of the complete recruitment cycle: need analysis, posting, pre-selection, interviews, recommendations, and follow-up with managers;
- You will advise managers on current HR issues, with listening, perspective, and organizational sense;
- You will contribute to a consistent employee experience, from onboarding to integration and HR follow-ups;
- You will participate in HR visibility initiatives: events, university recruitment, international recruitment, and employer branding;
- You will contribute to improving our HR practices, tools, processes, and organizational policies;
- You will use digital tools and AI responsibly to simplify HR work, improve the candidate experience, and support decision-making;
- You will provide advisory roles to employees and managers on policies, best practices, and applicable HR obligations.
The profile we are looking for
- You hold a relevant HR, industrial relations, administration, or related degree;
- You have approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in generalist human resources, including solid experience in recruitment;
- You are familiar with the main HR laws applicable in Quebec;
- You are comfortable supporting managers in various and sometimes sensitive situations;
- You are organized, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple priorities with rigor;
- You communicate clearly, both in writing and orally;
- You know how to listen, build trust, and maintain a global view of the issues;
- You enjoy improving ways of doing things and contributing to concrete HR projects;
- You are mobile to travel across all our business locations;
- You have an interest in AI, digital tools, and their responsible use in human resources.
Do you recognize yourself in this role? We would like to talk to you about what you could contribute to building with us.
