About the Role

You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting. The position is full-time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 15:00-23:00, Fridays from 7:00-19:00, and half a weekend from 7:00-19:00.

Minimum Requirements:

• OIIQ membership
• Experience in mental health and/or addiction
• Autonomy
• Certification in RCR or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient care techniques, and health regulations
• Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and health software
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Experience in addiction and mental health

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with licensed nurses and physicians
• Accurately document patient information and maintain detailed records of care provided and patient progress
• Monitor and promptly report changes in patient status to the healthcare team to facilitate timely interventions
• Educate patients and their families on maintaining health, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions
• Participate in continuing professional development activities and training to stay current with best practices in nursing and regulatory requirements

The required skills enable the nurse to provide safe and effective care by accurately assessing patient needs and administering prescribed treatments. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with healthcare professionals and educating patients and their families. Attention to detail ensures accurate documentation and adherence to health protocols, which is crucial for patient safety and regulatory compliance. Preferred skills, such as proficiency with electronic health records, enhance efficiency and accuracy in managing patient information. Additionally, interpersonal skills foster a supportive environment that encourages patient comfort and teamwork within the care setting.
