Automotive Body Shop Attendant

• Plan the repair work to be done
• Clean and maintain the workspace
• Replace vehicle front-end and body parts, doors, chassis, and undercarriage elements
• File, grind, and sand the surfaces to be repaired
• Mask and secure with masking tape the surfaces of the car in preparation for painting
• Deburr the body parts using chisels and hammers
• Remove damaged bumpers, panels, and grilles and bolt or weld replacement parts in place
• Repair or replace interior elements
• Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs
• Use welding equipment or filler plastic to level holes, bumps, and joints
• Straighten chassis using chassis and undercarriage traction and anchoring equipment
