Maintenance Technician – Riôtel Matane

Are you a versatile and autonomous person? Do you know how to exercise discernment in your professional life? Are you resourceful and able to take initiative? Do you have relevant experience in improving and maintaining the infrastructure of an establishment? The Riôtel Matane is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician.

What you will do

Under the responsibility of the Technical Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Technician is the person who plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of maintenance and improvement of the establishment's equipment and infrastructure. They must ensure preventive maintenance, cleanliness of the premises, improvement of processes and equipment, and respond to immediate needs in case of breakdowns.

More specifically, the Maintenance Technician will:

• Under the supervision of the director, develop, update, and implement maintenance and overall company policies and procedures;
• Make recommendations to management for the improvement of processes and equipment;
• Manage inventories and supplies allocated to their service;
• Ensure optimal use of all facilities and maximize their profitability;
• Ensure preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement of the establishment's equipment and infrastructure;
• Conduct the opening and closing of the establishment and maintain a work procedure to organize the steps to follow;
• Ensure exterior maintenance and landscaping (lawn, sidewalks, spa, parking areas, etc.);
• All other related tasks.

Your experience and skills include

• DEP in a professional trade; 3 to 4 years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, or electricity.
• Professional attitudes and behavior (teamwork skills, autonomy, reliability, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.);
• Knowledge of basic health and safety principles;
• Good French language skills and basic English knowledge; *The requirement for English language knowledge is to better serve our anglophone clientele.*

Employment Conditions

• Availability for emergency calls;
• Decision-making capacity;
• Work schedule of 12h to 20h;
• Schedule includes weekends;
• Work organization may change according to traffic.
