Host - Gibby's

Gibby's Restaurant, an iconic institution in Old Montreal, is renowned for its warm atmosphere, unique historical setting, and high-end culinary experience highlighting grilled dishes, seafood, and meticulously prepared cuisine.

We are looking for a Host to ensure impeccable hospitality and play a key role in the guest experience from the moment they arrive. As the first point of contact, you embody the image of the establishment and contribute to creating an elegant, smooth, and welcoming atmosphere.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage reservations by phone, online, or in person
• Welcome, guide, and escort guests to their table with courtesy and professionalism
• Manage and organize the locker rooms
• Coordinate section rotations in collaboration with the dining room team
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their experience
• Support the service team before, during, and after services as needed
• Handle cash transactions and maintain rigorous billing operations

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service aptitude
• Confirmed experience in a similar role, ideally in high-end dining
• Neat, professional, and elegant appearance
• Empathy, diplomacy, and the ability to anticipate guest needs
• Sharp organizational sense, diligence, and attention to detail
• High adaptability, flexibility, and availability
• Team spirit and natural collaboration
• Proficiency in professional communication in both French and English
