Service: Recreation and Culture Service (Chambly Cultural Center)

Employment Type: Blue Collar (Temporary - Replacement for a temporarily vacant position until the original holder returns)

Salary: Hourly rate of $26.57 at hire; after 1950 hours worked, hourly rate of $29.83.

Hours: Temporary assignment of 20 hours per week minimum, variable hours as needed (Sunday to Saturday, between 6:30 am and midnight)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Your Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Chambly Cultural Center agent, you are responsible for ensuring the opening and closing of facilities, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and places where you work. You establish cordial relations with the clientele and ensure that activities run optimally. You handle the setup and breakdown of activity and event platforms.

More specifically, you

  • Activate or deactivate the alarm system of the premises;
  • Ensure compliance with the administrative policy of the buildings and contractual agreements with users;
  • Follow up and support tenants and users of the buildings;
  • Perform deliveries and receptions of merchandise or equipment;
  • Regularly perform janitorial maintenance work, ensure the cleanliness of the premises, and clear the entrances and exits of activity sites;
  • Carry out minor repairs or changes to buildings;
  • Handle and install audiovisual equipment.

What We Are Looking For

  • Hold a high school diploma (DES) or a certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by a competent authority;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license;
  • Possess customer service skills;
  • Be proficient in using a computer (Office suite and query system);
  • Have an interest in recreation, culture, and sports.
