Security Guard

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through surveillance, monitoring, and enforcement of safety protocols. This role is crucial in deterring theft, vandalism, and ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred, along with familiarity with surveillance systems such as CCTV.

Locations will vary, all in Quebec city. Must be able to commute to work.

Locations are: 1) Drummondville 2) Trois-Rivieres- Boulevrad des Recollets 3) Bouverad Des Forges

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity and identify potential security threats.
• Enforce security policies and procedures, including loss prevention measures.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing appropriate action or escalation.
• Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
• Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining security protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Conduct security checks of buildings, entrances, exits, and other critical points.

Requirements

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and other security technology.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious activity or potential threats.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Physical fitness to patrol large areas and respond quickly when needed.
• Must be reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining a safe environment.
• Ability to pass any required background checks or screening processes related to security roles.
• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
• Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
