Registered Nurse Assistant - Part-Time Day or Evening Shift

We are looking for 2 Registered Nurse Assistants - Part-Time Day or Evening Shift to join our dedicated team at the Villa Opale residence, located in Montreal (Lachine).

Your role

Under the authority of the Director of Care, your main mandate is to provide quality care to residents and support them in their daily activities.

Your daily responsibilities

• Welcome residents and facilitate their integration into the care unit or living environment;
• Plan and provide the full range of required nursing care according to the resident's health situation;
• Supervise and control the quality of care provided by support staff to residents;
• Participate in the overall assessment of the resident's needs and the development of the Nursing Care Plan (NCP);
• Perform rigorous clinical monitoring and intervene quickly in response to detected problems and anticipated risks;
• Work closely with various healthcare professionals and the care team;
• Actively participate in team meetings and transmit any relevant information to the Director of Care;
• Inform the resident and their family about the established care plan;
• Administer treatments and medications according to the medical prescription, only if the person meets the required conditions to administer medication;
• Contribute to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and infection prevention;
• Strictly adhere to the procedures and protocols established by the LOKIA group;
• Perform any other tasks as requested by your immediate supervisor.

You possess the following qualities

• Mastery of emergency and routine care;
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology;
• Constant vigilance regarding the health status of residents;
• Ability to effectively manage emergencies and good resistance to stress;
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect in interactions;
• Ability to supervise a team and organize work;
• Be organized, rigorous, and autonomous;
• Ensure the respect of confidentiality;
• Proficiency with computer tools and administrative tasks.

Education and experience

• Diploma in Nursing Care;
• RCR (16-hour minimum training) up-to-date;
• OIIAQ license;
• Asset: Knowledge of the SyMO software.

Working conditions

• Part-time day and evening shifts;
• Monday to Friday, 1 weekend worked per 2, 20 hours/week
• Available shifts: day (7h-15h) or evening (15h-22h);
