MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE

The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Donor Care Representative. Your work will focus on donors and you will be a resource person for all supporters of the CCS. You will be responsible for all incoming donor calls in support of fundraising and retention programs. What You Will Do

  • Provide impeccable customer service by phone and email.
  • Answer incoming call questions regarding donation processing, encourage participation in CCS campaigns, and answer general account maintenance questions.
  • Maximize fundraising for events by helping event participants set up their online profiles and use online fundraising tools.
  • Meet or exceed monthly performance targets, including service level, revenue, and call quality.
  • Ensure rigorous donation processing and update donor contact information and donation details using the internal CRM database.
  • Demonstrate conviction for the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
  • Review the health and safety policy and comply with it.

Work Conditions

  • Work closely and interact with other teams, and be able to complete tasks independently.
  • Work under tight deadlines.
  • Handle confidential questions and data.
  • Heavy use of computer and phone simultaneously.
  • High concentration needed to ensure data entry accuracy.

  • Candidates must be flexible to work full-time on varied shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM (Eastern Time).
  • Starting salary of 21.50 CAD with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (French/English) is required due to the organization's national activities and the need for effective communication between different regions.
  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Confirmed ability to respond to telephone inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse work environment and satisfy donors on the first call.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure donor and donation file accuracy.
  • Practical experience with MS Office, Salesforce, Luminate Online, or other online fundraising software, an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
