We are looking for a proofreader to work on diverse documents. Not only do you master the French language, but you also have the keen eyes of a lynx to spot all kinds of errors in the documents you are entrusted with.

You ensure the quality control of texts translated from English to French by internal and external resources.

Your daily activities

• Validate technical terms or others (online or using translation assistance tools).
• Perform, depending on the type of quality control planned, a careful reading of the arrival text, with or without comparison with the original text, to detect any syntactic, orthographic, grammatical, typographic, or punctuation errors.
• Perform, depending on the type of quality control planned, a proofreading focused on layout, text and image placement, factual elements, pagination, etc.
• Ensure the uniformity of terminology and compliance with client instructions.

This position may suit you if you

• Have at least one year of experience in proofreading, translation, or quality control, acquired in a structured environment.
• Have excellent written French and good English skills.
• Can perform under stress and have a constant concern for meeting deadlines.
• Have good knowledge of the following tools: MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Are comfortable with various technological tools.
• Have a keen eye for detail and demonstrate rigor.
• Are familiar with different translation assistance tools (SDL Trados, LogiTerm, MultiTerm, etc.).
