Do you want to take on a challenging and impactful challenge? We are looking for a Project Director, Pre-Construction. This position can be based in one of our four offices: Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, or Ottawa.

The Role

The Project Director, Pre-Construction is the sole responsible party for all work packages assigned to Alto, ensuring their execution meets contractual obligations and Alto's strategic objectives. This role is primarily results-driven, focusing on achieving outcomes rather than managing activities.

Responsibilities

• Delivery Responsibility

Take full responsibility for assigned work packages, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, cost, quality, and contractual commitments.

Lead and make decisions to achieve project objectives and delivery milestones.

Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective measures to meet delivery commitments.

Execution Leadership

Drive execution by proactively identifying, reporting, and resolving issues that may impact delivery.

Mobilize and coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, commercial, procurement, legal, financial, and other services, to remove obstacles and support project execution.

Encourage accountability and collaboration among teams to maintain delivery momentum and achieve results.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as Alto's primary point of contact with Cadence for assigned work packages.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships to ensure alignment on priorities, performance expectations, and contractual obligations.

Ensure Alto meets its commitments through effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Governance and Communication

Establish structured and effective communication channels between Alto and Cadence.

Provide clear, timely, and decision-focused updates on progress, risks, and key issues.

Support governance and decision-making at the executive level by ensuring communications are coordinated, consistent, and actionable.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in project management or a similar role.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent, an asset.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planner, Oracle Primavera).

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
