BI and Data Specialist

CGI is seeking a BI and Data Specialist to join a dynamic team and participate in the design, development, and evolution of modern analytical solutions and data platforms.

In this role, you will contribute to the entire data value chain, from integration and transformation to exploitation in the form of dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions. You will collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design high-performance, scalable solutions that meet organizational needs.

Depending on your expertise, you will participate in the development of data pipelines, integration of multiple sources, data modeling, development of visualization solutions, processing optimization, and application of best practices in development, automation, and deployment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis of business needs and data sources;
• Design, develop, and optimize data integration, transformation, and exploitation solutions;
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models;
• Design, develop, and evolve dashboards, reports, and performance indicators as required;
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and availability;
• Participate in unit, integrated testing, and validation activities;
• Contribute to deployment, automation (CI/CD), and version management activities;
• Document developed solutions and share knowledge with teams;
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to propose the best technical solutions.
• Qualities Required for Success in this Role

What we are looking for

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in information technologies, including significant experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics;
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Visualization and analytics: Power BI or equivalent technologies; Data integration and transformation: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, dbt, Databricks, or similar technologies; Data platforms: Snowflake, SQL Server, or other analytical platforms;
• Strong mastery of SQL and Python, as well as good knowledge of data modeling;
• Experience with one or more cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or equivalent source code and deployment management tools is an asset;
• Knowledge of Python or other data processing languages is an asset.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $70,000 and $135,000. This position is open.
