Senior Business Analyst

• Context of the Position

As part of the implementation of the operational resilience capability on the ServiceNow IRM platform, we are looking for a Business Analyst to contribute to a strategic and regulatory project aimed at supporting compliance with the BSIF's expectations regarding operational resilience. The project is carried out in collaboration with business risk management partners, IT teams, and external integrators. The candidate will participate in the validation and refinement of business needs, as well as in the design of processes supported by the ServiceNow solution.

Functions and Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Business Analysis and Needs Management

Collaborate with risk management teams and IT staff to understand the objectives, challenges, and requirements related to operational resilience.

Facilitate discovery, validation, and refinement workshops for business needs.

Collect, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.

Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Ensure traceability of needs from definition to implementation.

Processes and Transformation

Document current processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Participate in the definition of target processes supporting operational resilience capabilities.

Conduct gap analyses between current processes and the target solution.

Evaluate the organizational, operational, and technological impacts of proposed changes.

Support change management activities with stakeholders.

Collaboration with the ServiceNow IRM Project Team

Work closely with architects, designers, developers, and ServiceNow integrators to ensure a common understanding of needs.

Participate in the development of functional solutions while respecting ServiceNow IRM's standard capabilities.

Validate that proposed solutions meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Participate in demonstrations, solution reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities.

Governance and Compliance

Contribute to aligning the solution with applicable regulatory expectations for operational resilience.

Prepare and maintain analysis documentation, governance deliverables, and project artifacts.

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.

Desired Profile

Experience

Significant experience as a business analyst in complex technological projects.

Experience in initiatives related to risk management, compliance, or operational resilience.

Experience in implementation or evolution projects on the ServiceNow platform.

Experience in a highly regulated financial sector environment is a significant asset.

Experience working with integrators from "Big Four" firms is an asset.

Functional Knowledge

Good understanding of operational risk management concepts.

Knowledge of operational resilience principles is an asset.

Understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to financial institutions is an asset.

Experience in business process modeling and optimization.

ServiceNow Knowledge

Practical experience with projects implemented using ServiceNow.

Knowledge of the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) module or one of its functional domains (Operational Risk Management, Operational Resilience, Policy & Compliance, Third Party Risk Management) is a strong asset.

Understanding of ServiceNow concepts such as configuration, workflows, data models, and integrations.
