Professional Design & Integration - Fuselage Structures and Doors

The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is looking for a Professional Design & Integration - Fuselage Structures and Doors to join our Fuselage & Doors Design team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work collaboratively with fuselage design, stress analysis, materials and processes, Program, final assembly line support, and many others.

You will be part of the Fuselage and Doors team responsible for developing innovative solutions for long-term product improvements, supporting final assembly line and in-service aircraft, while ensuring regulatory compliance of the product.

The team is organized to promote autonomous, cross-functional collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.

As a designer-integrator, your role will be to develop technical solutions, present them to various reviews, modify and approve engineering documents (2D, 3D, Reports), and manage stakeholders while mastering project management.

Your challenges

• Produce and approve documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, reports, presentations, parts lists, etc.
• Interact closely with Technology, Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Testing, and structure suppliers teams.
• Directly support other engineering and operations services.
• Support design and program evaluations with partners and suppliers.
• Track progress by integrating transverse projects and ensuring deadlines are met by producing quality deliverables (engineering documentation) at the required time.
• Apply your knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment, proactive practices, and procedures.
• Continuously develop through a continuous improvement approach.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in aeronautics or related industries.
• You possess knowledge of the following: structural design and system installation, assembly design, design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly), stakeholder integration, composites, standards, and industrial drawing including GD&T.
• You have an interest and skill in project management aspects (planning, cost, tracking, visibility, risk, etc.) in a transverse manner.
• You have knowledge of CATIA/ENOVIA V5, Google suite or MS Office, Python, JavaScript.
• You are a curious, quality-oriented, energetic person with excellent communication skills and interpersonal qualities that will help you achieve desired results in a high-pressure work environment.
• A strong sense of commitment, willingness to take on responsibilities, autonomy within a team, commitment to continuous improvement, and ability to work collaboratively with partners and suppliers are assets.
• Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
