Under the authority of the supervisor, the person holding the position performs various manual tasks related to housekeeping maintenance, handling, and event support for the building.

Description

  • Perform various setup/breakdown tasks for events;
  • Transport furniture between spaces (meeting rooms, offices, conference rooms, performance halls, reception, or festivals);
  • Snow removal (in addition to the snow removal contract; e.g., pelleting and spreading de-icing agents, snow removal for festival and unit access on roofs);
  • Perform housekeeping maintenance (in addition to regular housekeeping) including indoor parking, performance halls, common areas, and the outdoor Esplanade;
  • Perform handling and modification tasks for furniture;
  • Install interior and exterior displays and signage;
  • Conduct inventory of products and materials, order parts, and track with external contractors;
  • Handle urgent issues and coordinate interventions;
  • Be called upon to work evenings and weekends;
  • Properly complete preventive and corrective work orders and submit them to the supervisor within the specified deadlines;
  • Make recommendations to the supervisor regarding any modifications aimed at improving existing processes;
  • Perform any other tasks related to the job description;
  • Replace the supervisor during their vacation hours.

Requirements

  • Be authorized to work in Canada;
  • Be able to pass the required security level and a medical examination;
  • Relevant work experience, no specific qualifications required;
  • Experience in team management;
  • Be willing to work rotating evening and weekend hours;
  • Be in good physical condition;
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness;
  • Be able to work standing, bent, and/or kneeling as required;
  • Be able to use 3, 6, or 12-foot ladders.
