Fixed Mechanic - Plant

With a lifespan of 8 years, the Lamaque mine located a few minutes from Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, has reserves of 1,086,000 ounces and is the ideal location to support its employees in their development.

As a fixed mechanic, your primary role will be to maintain, repair, and modify the plant equipment.

Under the supervision of the mechanical maintenance supervisor, your essential duties will include:

• Perform maintenance, repair, modification, and adjustment of concentrator equipment, such as crushers, mills, conveyors, cyclones, pumps, feeders, etc.
• Carry out welding, plumbing, and piping work in the plant
• Conduct pre-job site inspections and safety checks
• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and checks of used equipment
• Demonstrate autonomy in routine tasks and act as a guide for less experienced employees
• Complete work orders and order necessary materials for the work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Apply and comply with all applicable norms, regulations, standards, codes, and laws at Eldorado Gold and in Quebec
• Perform any other tasks assigned by your supervisors.

Qualifications

• Hold a DEP or DEC in industrial mechanics and/or combinations of relevant studies and experience
• Have more than 3 years of relevant experience in the field
• Hold a valid driver's license
• Basic computer knowledge.
