Your role:
With expertise in the food processing sector, the successful candidate will contribute to ensuring compliance and quality in food safety practices for client companies by conducting audits and supporting certification programs (SQF, HACCP, and Costco). They will manage the administrative and technical aspects of their cases and collaborate in the auditor qualification process and service contract management.
Your main responsibilities
- Conduct food safety audits for clients;
- Manage the administrative and technical aspects of client files within the framework of certification programs such as SQF (Safe Quality Food) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point);
- Participate in the functioning and improvement of the certification program;
- Collaborate in the auditor qualification and training process;
- Work with the professional team and operations support team on client service contracts;
- Participate in promotional and marketing activities, if required;
- Participate in BNQ committees as needed;
- Be able to travel to various sectors across Quebec, with approximately 50% of work time spent on travel.
- Required specific qualifications:
- The candidate for this position must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in food science and technology, food engineering, microbiology, food chemistry, or equivalent;
- Minimum of five years of operational experience in food hygiene and safety programs, including the HACCP system or other appropriate risk management systems. Additional years of experience will be considered an asset;
- Be qualified as an SQF auditor or be qualifiable after completing the "SQF Code Requirements Audit" training, a recognized HACCP training, and a recognized lead auditor training in management systems. Additionally, to be qualifiable, have completed a minimum of 100 hours of auditing in the food industry;
- Knowledge of the CanadaGAP program (asset);
- Knowledge of project management principles (asset);
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
- Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of the Office suite;
- Class 5 driver's license.
