Manufacturing Engineer Technician

Reporting to the Head of the Manufacturing Engineering Department, you will provide direct support to daily operations on the production floor and collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers in project implementation. Your constant presence on the production floor will be essential to contribute to process improvement and ensure the production of safe, high-performance products that meet regulatory requirements.

The role

• Contribute to the design and improvement of manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Participate in the assembly, qualification, and commissioning of production and test equipment.
• Provide direct support to production (Level 3 support) to quickly resolve technical issues.
• Analyze technical problems and propose concrete solutions on-site.
• Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineers on improvement projects and engineering changes that impact manufacturing processes.
• Prepare, review, and update technical documentation (work instructions, CAD drawings, ERP software).
• Participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen).
• Participate in workstation and production floor layout.
• Perform tasks in compliance with applicable standards and company directives.
• Adhere to behavioral and personal hygiene requirements in the production area and other workplaces.
• Perform other reasonable tasks.

Required qualifications

• DEC in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field;
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with engineers;
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with operators;
• Thorough, organized, and detail-oriented;
• Versatile, proactive, and self-motivated;

Assets

• Functional English (oral and written);
• Experience in a regulated field (medical, aerospace, pharmaceutical, etc.);
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
