Summary of Responsibilities
Provide daily secure support to residents, support their overall well-being, contribute to maintenance tasks and meal services, while ensuring good communication and coordination with the health services team. This position involves frequent travel, including multiple overnight stays, in different regions of Quebec.
Note: Travel is an integral part of the position and may involve long-distance trips, short-notice departures, variable hours, and multiple consecutive overnight stays outside the home, depending on the operational needs of the residences.
Your role as Indispensable:
Under the supervision of the Regional Health and Compliance Director and indirectly under the supervision of the Health Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in different residences across Quebec.
- Ensure the hygiene, personal assistance services, comfort, and safety of residents, while respecting the standards of the residence
- Perform maintenance tasks and participate in meal services
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and interveners to ensure optimal follow-up of health services
- Communicate information on the health status and behavior of residents to the auxiliary nurse, health services coordinator, public health network interveners, and following shifts
- Respond to emergency calls and apply predetermined trajectories
- Distribute medications according to established procedures
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of equipment and materials used in personal assistance services to residents
Requirements
- APRPA training or an equivalent recognized (mandatory)
- Up-to-date certifications in RCR, PDSP, and Competency 6 (Law 90) (mandatory)
- Valid driver's license (mandatory)
- Reliable car for travel (mandatory)
