Primarily frequented by a loyal and long-standing adult clientele, the bar offers a calm environment where customers come to socialize, relax, and enjoy attentive service. Equipped with video lottery machines, Pot de Chance Bar emphasizes the quality of hospitality, respect for its clientele, and a convivial atmosphere.

Important to note that the bar is located in a shopping center.

Pot de Chance Bar is looking for a versatile employee to provide courteous service and contribute to the smooth operation of the establishment. In the course of their duties, the person will be called upon to work behind the bar, prepare and serve drinks, welcome customers, take orders, process transactions, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Through their professionalism, sense of service, and versatility, they will contribute to offering a pleasant experience to a loyal adult clientele who appreciates a calm, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Welcome customers warmly.
  • Take orders for drinks and food.
  • Serve beverages and meals efficiently and courteously.
  • Offer personalized service to regular customers.
  • Answer customer questions and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Prepare drinks according to established procedures.

Premises Maintenance

  • Clear and clean tables.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar, dining area, and common spaces.
  • Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards.

Cash Handling

  • Process transactions in cash, debit, or credit.
  • Handle the cash register with diligence and accuracy.
  • Balance the cash register, as needed.

Video Lottery Machine Operation

  • Apply and comply with all regulations, procedures, and requirements established by Loto-Québec regarding the operation of video lottery machines.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers using video lottery machines, in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Participate in employer-provided training on requirements and procedures related to the operation of video lottery machines.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food service, customer service, or a similar role (an asset).
  • Good command of French; knowledge of English is a strong asset.
  • Ability to stand for several hours.
  • Availability during the day, evening, and/or weekends, as needed by the establishment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Courtesy, patience, and professionalism.
  • Versatility and resourcefulness.
  • Sense of responsibility and autonomy.
  • Ability to work in a calm environment while remaining effective.
  • Ease in building trust with a regular clientele.
