Lifting Equipment Inspector

We are looking for a self-sufficient candidate who will join us as a Lifting Equipment Inspector in Montreal, QC. Reporting to the branch manager, the inspector performs inspections and tests on equipment below hook, rigging equipment and fall prevention equipment to ensure safety certification complies with provincial and federal regulations.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and tests on equipment below hook, rigging equipment and fall prevention equipment
• Complete and submit inspection reports for processing
• Submit reports at the end of the work or day, depending on task specifications
• Maintain documentation and inventory records used for billing and certification
• Maintain company equipment on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic technical/mechanical work experience or training; experience and training in electromechanical is an asset
• Customer-focused
• Ability to work independently
• Effective use of Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
• Ability to safely lift 50lb from floor level to shoulder height
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Inspections take place in the workshop and/or at clients in the Quebec region and surrounding areas of the branch's territory.
