THE ROLE:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting in managing housekeeping operations, which includes guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to achieve and maintain the hotel's high standard of cleanliness.

ACTIVITIES:

The tasks and responsibilities of the Housekeeping Supervisor include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create 100% customer satisfaction by offering genuine hospitality and exceeding customer expectations
  • Ensure that cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are managed according to brand standards in all housekeeping areas, including all guest rooms, public spaces, offices, laundry, lockers, and storage areas front and back of house
  • Assist in hiring, training, and professional development of all housekeeping staff; assist in evaluating performance and communicating performance standards to staff
  • Inspect the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry rooms, restrooms, and public areas, ensuring that feedback is provided constructively and appropriately, with an emphasis on positive reinforcement
  • Assist in staff scheduling according to standards and expected occupancy; assign daily work tasks to staff
  • Assist in ordering and receiving linens and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for the efficient operation of the department; assist in monthly inventory of linens and supplies
  • Ensure the completion of the maid's report and communicate clean and available rooms to the front desk
  • Document and communicate maintenance requests to the maintenance department to ensure that hotel service quality standards are met
  • Respond promptly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Follow company policies and procedures and be able to communicate them effectively to subordinates
  • Provide training on safety, security, department procedures, and service guidelines
  • Ensure that the hotel is in compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws, including health and safety, LEVD, and human rights
  • Other tasks assigned by management
  • THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor
  • Computer proficiency
  • Team member with a positive attitude and proven track record of results
  • Superior skills in time management, organization, problem-solving, and communication
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and decision-making skills
  • Strong commitment to quality and guest service
