Truck Dispatcher

• Tasks:
• Ensure the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll lists, or other summaries
• Ensure the proper functioning of equipment
• Keep files and records up to date
• Monitor workload and staff location
• Perform general office tasks
• Provide customer service
• Inform drivers of vehicle issues and other situations
• Assist in maintaining communication equipment
• Schedule staff according to schedules and work sheets
• Follow up on work order questions
• Stay informed about shipments
• Knowledge of the trucking industry and related regulations
• Keep driver vehicle files up to date
• Operate radio equipment

Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate driver and crew activities using dispatch equipment

Record mileage, fuel consumption, repairs, and other expenses

Schedule work to be done and coordinate driver and vehicle crew activities

Management Systems (SIG or DB): Shipping Management Software

Use Global Positioning System (GPS) and other navigation equipment

Internet MS Windows Experience in the Services Sector
