Summary Description

The candidate will be responsible for developing hotel sales and coordinating banquet event requests from clients. In collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will work towards the common goal of maximizing occupancy rates and average rates.

Responsibilities

• Process, qualify, confirm, and coordinate group and banquet requests (events, room rentals, room blocks).
• Coordinate groups with meetings (rooms, food, accommodations, etc.).
• Write and distribute purchase orders (BEOs).
• Offer personalized service to clients before, during, and after the event.
• Develop business opportunities;
• Submit monthly sales reports on group and banquet sales;
• Participate in local activities, employee and client events;
• Attend weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and other meetings required by the Director of Sales;
• Perform any other tasks deemed compatible with the position, when required by the manager.

Skills and Requirements

• Ability to use advanced computer functions (customer tracking, inventory control, forecasting tools, etc.);
• Creative and results-oriented personality with a focus on customer service;
• Sense of organization, attention to detail, and rigor in file tracking;
• Excellent bilingual communication skills;
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience;
• College diploma in the hospitality field (an asset).
