Job Title: Senior Hairstylist

Description

• Recommend hairstyles and perform hair cutting, styling, finishing, curling, and colouring services.
• Recommend and maintain a high-quality inventory of professional hair care products.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with regular clients.
• Collaborate with salon management to achieve sales and revenue objectives.
• Train and supervise apprentice hairstylists and salon assistants.
• Conduct personalized consultations to assess clients' needs and recommend the most suitable hair services and treatments.
• Perform advanced colouring techniques, including balayage, colour corrections, and specialized hair treatments in accordance with current industry trends.
• Serve as a technical resource for the team by sharing professional expertise and contributing to the salon's high standards of quality.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and professional hair care products to maintain a high level of expertise.

Required skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience hairstyling
• Completion of trade certification in hairstyling or equivalent

Language requirements

• English or French is a must.

Work conditions, salary and working hours

• Permanent position on full-time basis.
• Hourly wage of $36.50/hour for 40 hours.

Benefits

• 2 weeks of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
