As part of the APRIL group based in France, APRIL Canada currently employs 100 people spread between its offices in Brossard and Toronto. The group, present internationally with over 2,700 employees, is distinguished by its expertise in managing complex risks, particularly for niche segments requiring a high level of specialization.
Under the supervision of the claims team manager, you manage the complete handling of all types of automobile claims, from the opening of the file to the final settlement.
On a daily basis, you accompany our insureds with professionalism, diligence, and empathy to offer a human, effective, and high-quality customer experience.
You intervene in varied automobile insurance cases, personal, commercial, and garage, which allows you to develop diverse and stimulating expertise. You collaborate closely with the team and with several stakeholders to ensure rigorous, coherent, and effective handling of claims.
In this role, you also actively participate in the evolution and continuous improvement of the department by sharing your ideas, expertise, and recommendations. No matter the level of experience, all candidates are invited to apply!
Duties
- Take charge of claims in personal automobile insurance, commercial automobile insurance, and Garage FPQ No. 4, from the opening of the file to the final settlement, without external travel.
- Analyze files, confirm applicable protections, and apply the terms and conditions of insurance contracts.
- Coordinate the various stakeholders required according to the nature of the claims (appraisers, suppliers, experts, insurers, etc.).
- Examine and analyze reports, estimates, and documents received in the file.
- Process the settlement of files, including the issuance of payments or refusals when required.
- Collaborate with insurers in accordance with the regulatory authorities granted.
- Perform recovery and subrogation procedures when applicable.
- Ensure rigorous and proactive follow-up of files while maintaining professional communication with insureds and partners.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of processes and the development of the department by sharing ideas and recommendations.
Qualifications
- You hold a certificate (5b) in the settlement of personal property damage claims (required).
- You hold a certificate (5a) in the settlement of business property damage claims (required).
- You have significant experience in automobile claims and a good understanding of policies and terminology in the field.
- You are comfortable in English, both orally and in writing (approximately 30% of exchanges are in English).
- You have excellent customer service skills and a great capacity for listening.
- You are organized, capable of managing multiple files simultaneously, and able to prioritize effectively.
- You can manage difficult situations with calm, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- You are motivated by continuous learning and the development of your skills.
