We are looking for a passionate legal linguist, recognized for their rigor, terminological precision, and deep understanding of regulatory environments.

You will play a key role in translating complex legal documents from English to French, ensuring the quality, consistency, and compliance of the delivered content to our clients. Through your expertise, you will also contribute to the evolution of linguistic practices, the enrichment of terminological resources, and the continuous development of Apertera's teams.

Your mission: to produce high-quality legal translations, support the continuous improvement of linguistic processes, and actively participate in innovation, particularly by integrating artificial intelligence into translation workflows.

Functions and Responsibilities: Translation and Revision:

• Translate complex legal documents from English to French with accuracy, clarity, and fidelity to the source text.
• Ensure terminological consistency, compliance with legal norms, and specific client expectations.
• Collaborate closely with reviewers, lawyers, and project managers to ensure the final quality of deliverables.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of Apertera's terminological databases, style guides, and neural machine translation tools.
• Provide constructive feedback and contribute to the sharing of best linguistic practices within the team.
• Contribution to Development and Quality:
• Support linguistic training and knowledge transfer initiatives for internal and external teams.
• Participate in the optimization of translation processes and quality standards.
• Monitor relevant legal, terminological, and technological developments in the field.
• Contribute to the effective integration of workflows combining artificial intelligence and human expertise.

Qualifications and Skills

• University degree in English-French translation, with a specialization in law.
• Membership in a recognized professional order, such as OTTIAQ, ATIO, or equivalent for the English-French language combination.
• Excellent knowledge of the legal sector.
• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in TAO tools (particularly Phrase) and a strong interest in AI applied to translation.
• Excellent analytical skills, linguistic rigor, and attention to detail.
• Organization, autonomy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in translating complex legal documents from English to French.
• Experience in a translation agency, within an internal linguistic service, law firm, or regulated environment.
