As part of a world-class team rooted in the communities it serves, you’ll contribute to major projects that strengthen the safety, performance, and resilience of essential infrastructure across Canada.

Our Energy – Hydroelectricity and Dams team includes over 150 experts working on development, rehabilitation, and safety projects for dams. You’ll leverage your expertise to support public and private clients and leave your mark on inspiring projects.

To meet these growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our national structural team in Hydroelectricity and Dams within the Energy group, located in one of our offices in Quebec.

Your Impact

  • Conduct feasibility studies and detailed engineering for new structures or the rehabilitation of existing facilities (dams, spillways, outlets, powerhouses).
  • Design concrete and steel structures, ensuring performance, durability, and safety.
  • Prepare and validate plans, estimates, calculation notes, and technical reports.
  • Participate in dam inspections and safety studies.
  • Coordinate design and construction issues in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead and plan the technical aspects of structural projects related to hydroelectricity and dams.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, both in technical aspects and on-site.
  • Contribute to the technical aspects of tendering and support business development.
  • Actively participate in the growth and excellence of the team.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; 2nd or 3rd cycle diploma (asset).
  • Expert with 15+ years of experience in structural design and hydroelectric or dam projects.
  • Member of the OIQ.
  • Sharp technical judgment, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Natural ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; bilingualism required for national projects.
  • ASP Construction card; availability for occasional travel.
