About the Role
Intermediate Technician – Implementation Agent participates in technical coordination and document control activities related to construction work and hazardous energy control. Based in Montreal, QC, Canada, the role supports construction, engineering, and supervision teams to ensure the compliance of technical documents, tracking of non-conformities, and the application of lockout processes.
The position participates in project execution and monitoring phases by managing technical registers, coordinating change requests, document reviews, and compliance control. The work environment involves regular interactions with engineers, construction managers, site supervisors, and other operational stakeholders.
The sought-after profile has between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in a construction environment, including experience in hazardous energy control (lockout) and the ability to produce or update unified technical diagrams.
- Write site reports and document technical decisions made during meetings.
- Review technical documents received from the contractor and provide comments on their compliance.
- Develop and maintain registers for tracking deviations, non-conformities (NC), and non-compliance notices.
- Prepare non-compliance and non-compliance notices according to quality control processes.
- Monitor compliance of NCs, deviations, and non-compliance notices and ensure deadlines are met.
- Transmit and follow up on change requests (DC, DIM, and CC) during work execution.
- Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, and site supervisors for SST and MDÉ document control to ensure receipt and validation of required documents.
- Verify the completeness of documentation needed for lockout sheet validation.
- Track lockout requests and schedule inspections according to the operational calendar.
- Update the global unified diagram and maintain the accuracy of associated technical information.
- Participate in site coordination activities and perform any other tasks related to work execution.
- What do we need from you
- College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering, construction, architecture, or related discipline.
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in a construction, infrastructure, or building environment.
- Experience in hazardous energy control (lockout-tagout).
- Experience in non-conformity management, deviations, and site document control.
- Ability to interpret and validate technical documents related to work.
- Ability to produce or update unified diagrams and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety at work (SST) processes for construction work.
Bonus
- Experience on heavy infrastructure or industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of technical change management processes.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination between engineering and construction teams.
- Exposure to quality and compliance management systems on site.
- Experience in tracking technical documentation related to electrical systems.
- Experience in hazardous energy control (lockout).
- Ability to create technical drawings and unified diagrams.
