Description

Residential Housing Resources in mental health are facilities designed to provide residential support to individuals living with mental health disorders. These facilities are specifically designed to provide a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where residents can receive care and support tailored to their psychological needs.

Clientèle

The clientele presents various mental health disorders (schizophrenia, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, etc.). They may be accompanied by problems related to dependence, legal issues, behavioral disorders, physical illnesses, or other issues. Users have needs for support and assistance in the various biopsychosocial spheres, and these needs exceed the community service offer.

L'essentiel de la pratique: As an educator on the team, you will be called upon to:

• Accompany and observe residents in their daily life and household activities and collaborate in the application of the principles of the living environment;
• Register residents with RAMQ if not done during hospitalization;
• Observe disruptive behaviors and implement strategies to modify disruptive behaviors or necessary containment measures;
• Document all interventions and evaluations in the client's computerized file (E-Clinibase) and keep the signaletic sheets, PGCA, and social coordinates up to date;
• Systematically identify suicidal risk at 6 months and evaluate suicidal risk on an as-needed basis;
• Contribute to clinical reflection within the multidisciplinary team;
• Develop intervention and containment plans and intervene in line with the established objectives (adaptive capacities, needs for re-adaptation, etc.);
• Contribute to maximizing functional autonomy or preserving gains;
• Plan and facilitate individual or group re-adaptation activities to develop residents' personal and social skills;
• Propose, create, and make accessible tools for reference and accounting of inappropriate behaviors (containment plan, behavior grid, etc.);
• Establish and maintain contact with family members and treating teams in collaboration with the residence's healthcare team;
• Manage the budget in collaboration with the curatorship and families as needed;
• Organize and facilitate thematic capsules for the different members of the team.

To enhance the service offer, our team is currently looking for an educator to fill part-time (0.4) replacements in the following facilities:

• Resource La Relance located at 11 780, rue Notre-Dame, Montréal H1B 2X5
• Residence Sainte-Claire located at 9553, rue Notre-Dame Est, Montréal H1L 3P5

Qualifications éducateur classe 01

• Hold a diploma in specialized education techniques or intervention in delinquency or criminology techniques from a recognized school by the ministry.

Éducateur classe 02

• Have completed 50% of the DEC in specialized education techniques;
• Have completed 50% of the DEC in delinquency intervention or criminology techniques;
• AEC in specialized education of more than 2000 hours;
• BAC in psychoeducation.
