Are you passionate about critical care and want to evolve in a stimulating environment where every intervention has a significant impact on the recovery of users?

The recovery room offers a specialized clinical environment where the nurse and clinical nurse provide care, evaluation, and nursing interventions to users in the immediate postoperative period. You will provide care to patients requiring specialized care following a surgical intervention or an act requiring sedation or anesthesia.

Main responsibilities

  • Evaluate the clinical status of the user in the postoperative phase;
  • Provide close monitoring of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological functions;
  • Detect any postoperative complications quickly and intervene appropriately;
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications;
  • Ensure the management of pain and comfort for the user;
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and members of the interdisciplinary team;
  • Participate in teaching and supporting users and their families;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality and safety of care.

Qualifications

  • Hold a college diploma and/or a bachelor's degree in nursing sciences or a bachelor's degree with three acceptable certificates, including at least two recognized in nursing;
  • Possess a practice permit from the Order of Nurses and Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ);
  • For Santa Cabrini Ospedale Hospital, mastery of the Italian language is an asset to provide services adapted to an Italian-speaking clientele, as this establishment is recognized for the use of the Italian language;
  • Attention! Mandatory on-call duty for the operating room: The candidate must be able to present themselves at the hospital within a maximum of 30 minutes when on call;
  • Selected candidates will be required to undergo mandatory tests related to their specialty during the probationary period, in accordance with the establishment's policies.
