We are currently looking for a Loader Operator – Sewer / Water Main to join our team. Under the supervision of the foreman, the incumbent is responsible for operating a loader to support sewer, water main, and municipal infrastructure work. They contribute to the loading, transportation, and placement of materials, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Operate a loader safely and efficiently on construction sites;
• Perform loading, transportation, and placement of materials (soil, sand, gravel, stone, and other aggregates);
• Supply the construction team with materials needed for sewer and water main work;
• Participate in backfilling, leveling, and cleaning of work areas;
• Load and unload trucks as needed for the project;
• Conduct daily inspections of the loader before and after use and report any defects or repair needs;
• Perform basic preventive maintenance of the equipment in accordance with company procedures;
• Work closely with foremen, excavator operators, specialized laborers, and other team members;
• Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures and company policies;
• Maintain equipment and work environment clean and safe;
• Participate in site meetings and mandatory training;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Experience & Qualifications Required

• Valid CCQ competency card;
• Valid ASP Construction card;
• Experience as a loader operator;
• Experience in sewer, water main, or civil engineering work (an asset);
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites;
• Sense of responsibility, autonomy, and team spirit;
• Concern for well-done work and operational quality.
