We are looking for an Intermediate to Senior JAVA Full Stack Developer to join our technical team and contribute to the evolution of critical platforms at the heart of digital operations. You will play a key role in designing, delivering, and improving modern applications based on distributed and cloud-based architectures.

- Your future duties and responsibilities
- In this role, you will be tasked with:
- Designing and developing robust backend services in Java (Spring Boot) following best practices for microservices architecture.
- Creating and integrating high-performance, secure, and well-documented REST APIs.
- Participating in event and data stream integration with messaging systems such as Kafka, JMS, or IBM MQ as needed.
- Contributing to frontend development in TypeScript with Angular or equivalent technology, collaborating with the UX/UI team to create smooth and intuitive interfaces.
- Participating in the full development cycle in a DevOps mode: code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and application monitoring.
- Deploying applications in containerized environments (Docker) orchestrated with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Collaborating with architects and related teams to optimize system performance, security, resilience, and maintainability.
- Occasionally providing operational support in a 'you build it, you run it' approach, including incident diagnosis and continuous technical debt reduction.
- Mentoring or supporting less experienced developers when necessary, and contributing to the evolution of internal practices.
- Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Desired profile:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of software development experience, with several years in Java and distributed services environments.
- Demonstrated ability to evolve on complex architecture projects and make structuring technical decisions.
- Autonomy, initiative, and excellence in problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate technical issues to various stakeholders.
- Bilingualism in French and English (reading, writing, and verbal communication) to collaborate with international teams and partners.
- Backend:
- Very good mastery of Java and Spring Boot (REST, microservices, unit testing with JUnit/Mockito).
- Experience with event-driven system integration: Kafka, JMS, or IBM MQ.
- Frontend:
- Solid experience with TypeScript and Angular (or demonstrated ability to quickly learn an equivalent framework).
- Knowledge of modern frontend development best practices (testing, performance, accessibility).
- DevOps & Infra:
- Practical experience with Docker and orchestration Kubernetes or OpenShift for deploying distributed applications.
- Mastery of CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, or equivalents.
- Understanding of cloud environments (ideally AWS), including security, monitoring, encryption, and software quality concepts.
- Other assets:
- Sensitivity to performance concepts (profiling, memory consumption, scalability).
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and a quality-oriented approach (testing, code reviews, TDD/BDD).
- Openness to exploring complementary technologies like React, Node.js, or Python as needed.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with national and international clients.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Reward decisions are based on individual circumstances. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $70,000 and $135,000. This is a future opportunity.
