Under the authority of the Accounts Payable Manager, the person holding this position performs all computer-based accounting records related to the invoicing of the company's suppliers.

Description

  • Receiving, sorting, and reviewing vendor invoices, digitizing invoices as needed;
  • Preparing invoice allocations, reviewing associated purchase orders;
  • Reconciling invoices with purchase orders, tracking exceptions, resolving issues;
  • Accounting for invoices and recording all associated entries in the books;
  • Supporting various departments (including the Purchasing and Operations departments) in resolving issues, identifying solution paths;
  • Tracking pending invoices, coordinating with involved individuals and/or departments to advance resolutions;
  • Reconciling bank accounts with vendor balances;
  • Assisting in preparing reports on the tracking of associated processes;
  • Filing all documents related to this process;
  • Proposing new ideas to improve the process cycle;
  • Maintaining good relationships with internal and external clients;
  • Performing any other tasks of a similar nature required by the position or requested by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in Canada;
  • Able to pass the required security level;
  • College diploma in accounting or a related field or certification of having completed accounting or related courses;
  • Knowledge of French, both written and spoken;
  • Ability to use office suite software: Word, Excel, etc.;
  • Minimum of 12 to 24 months of experience in the field;
  • Knowledge of the D365 software (an asset).
