Job Purpose
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Road Operations, the incumbent is responsible for supervising, training, and supporting drivers while monitoring performance indicators to support the achievement of operational objectives.
BIXI is a key player in sustainable mobility in the Montreal metropolitan region and Estrie, with a network now counting over 13,000 bikes and 1,100 stations spread across 19 cities in Quebec.
Its vision is to transform the urban experience through active, accessible, innovative, and collaborative mobility. Created in 2014 by the City of Montreal, BIXI Montreal is a non-profit organization that manages the bike-sharing system in the greater Montreal region.
Main Responsibilities
Manage and analyze driver performance using performance indicators (KPIs) to identify needs and improvement opportunities;
Coordinate team leaders and supervise drivers to ensure the efficiency of operations;
Continuously manage employee training, in accordance with existing programs and procedures, while participating in the continuous improvement and adherence to driver training methods;
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and road safety standards, and support human resources in the administrative management of workplace accident files (CNESST);
Conduct disciplinary follow-ups in collaboration with human resources, when required;
Manage customer complaints and ensure appropriate follow-up to maintain a high level of satisfaction;
Conduct field visits across the Montreal metropolitan region to conduct audits, identify improvement opportunities, and develop tailored training for the team;
Maintain, if necessary, close collaboration with subcontractors to maintain optimal performance of BIXI Montreal services;
Mobilize and mentor the team to achieve established objectives and implement required action plans;
Participate in the improvement and optimization of equipment in collaboration with the fleet supervisor;
Participate in the human resources management of the team, including hiring;
Foster teamwork, initiative, operational excellence, and employee engagement;
Perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a combination of relevant training and experience may be considered;
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the manufacturing or operations domain;
Experience in personnel management (coaching and supervision);
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (SAAQ);
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite and comfortable with computer tools;
- Good ability to manage priorities, demonstrate autonomy and availability;
- Ability to motivate and communicate effectively;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Good stress management and ability to work under pressure;
Good adaptability and flexibility.
