Your responsibilities as a Grocery Coordinator

• Execute the directives of the grocery manager regarding work assignment, purchasing and receiving goods, scheduling employees, order and discipline in the department, etc.;
• Replace the grocery manager when they are absent and perform the tasks of the latter. Coordinate the department, schedule employees, make purchases, handle promotions, conduct inventories, calculate profits, enter data on the computer, etc.;
• Be responsible for some purchases of goods for your department from approved suppliers;
• Receive representatives from companies that the department deals with;
• Receive and count goods intended for sale such as grocery products, dairy products, frozen products, and any other product sold by your department. Ensure that these goods are correctly placed in the warehouse, refrigerator, freezer, or any other assigned storage area;
• Label and display, according to the department's rules, products intended for sale;
• Perform price changes on displays and, if necessary, on products in your department;
• If necessary, perform the rotation of goods on displays and keep work areas clean;
• Be responsible for customer service in your department;
• Ensure that employees and yourself wear the required safety equipment;
• Maintain the cleanliness of your department;
• Conduct various inventories in the grocery department;
• Promote the sale of different products and services offered to customers by your department;
• Perform any other related tasks required by your immediate supervisor.

Experience

• Relevant experience in a grocery department;
• Experience in management is an important asset.
