JOB TITLE: Global Compensation Specialist JOB STATUS: Permanent DEPARTMENT: Human Resources LOCATION: Montreal MANAGER: Head of Service, Employee Well-being and Benefits
The Global Compensation Specialist contributes to the design, administration, and continuous improvement of programs aimed at enriching the employee experience and supporting the company’s global compensation strategy. This role oversees the management of compensation and recognition programs. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, customer-focused individual, and passionate about developing programs that foster talent attraction, engagement, and retention.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Employee Recognition
- Apply and improve the company’s employee recognition programs to foster engagement and reinforce organizational values.
- Manage recognition platforms, communications, data transmission, and program efficiency.
- Coordinate recognition campaigns, service anniversary rewards, significant milestone celebrations, and special recognition initiatives.
- Analyze participation and engagement levels, then provide advice to improve programs.
- Travel Programs
- Ensure the main administration of the company’s employee travel programs.
- Monitor compliance with the travel policy and contribute to travel-related communications and support for employees.
- Analyze travel program data and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and optimize costs.
- Executive Programs
- Coordinate programs supporting executive members, including leadership, recognition programs, events, and special initiatives.
- Ensure confidentiality while managing sensitive data associated with reward and recognition programs for executive members.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of recognition and engagement initiatives for the executive team.
- Compensation Support
- Participate in annual compensation activities, including salary planning, performance-based raises, incentive program management, and market-based compensation.
- Contribute to job evaluation and salary analysis.
- Maintain compensation data and ensure data integrity within the HR systems.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations to support compensation-related decisions.
- Participate in meeting compensation and equity requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
- Three to five years of experience in Human Resources, Global Compensation, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Recognition Program, or a related field;
- Experience in coordinating employee recognition or corporate programs, an asset;
- Knowledge of compensation practices and salary management, an asset;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HR information systems;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills;
- Strong communication skills and ability to build workplace relationships;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while demonstrating attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required.
